Sweet Water Rest is 5.4 acres of unique wildlife habitat located in north-central Kentucky. This gently rolling land includes woods, pasture, ponds and wetlands that are home to a remarkably diverse community of wildlife and plant life. Ornamental gardens are planned to be woven into this natural landscape to create an environment conducive to creative thought and rejuvenation.
Sweet Water Rest is the home of the National Literary Habitat, an organization with a mission of delivering timely and relevant content, tools and resources to writers and authors to prepare them for success in the rapidly changing world of publishing. The centerpiece of the Habitat will be the conference and education building that will house a unique classroom, Habitat offices and writer’s retreat.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2015. Land preparation is already underway.
